Meet Paulina Korbel, a Canadian author, adventure enthusiast, and mother who spins tales that celebrate individuality and the thrill of taking risks.

With a sprinkle of ingenuity and a dash of creativity (but no broccoli), she has fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming an author with the release of her debut book, Jo and the Delicious Spectacular Unique Enormous Cake. She hopes you like reading it as much as she likes eating cake (which is a lot).

Paulina is on a mission to spark creativity and boost confidence in kids through her stories. She also believes that the best ingredients for bedtime include books, imagination and connection (but still no broccoli).

About Paulina Korbel

My Writing Process

“Writing, for me, is a way of life - a constant evolution and unique journey.”

My writing process is all about finding inspiration in everyday life, especially through my daughter. She has this incredible way of noticing the beauty in the little things that most grownups overlook, which really sparks my own imagination. In fact, the main character in my book (Jo) is actually inspired by my daughter!

I try to write a little bit every day, even if it’s just a few lines - it keeps me disciplined and helps me improve over time.

Plus, when I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed or stuck, I love getting some fresh air on my bike; it’s like my trusty sidekick, helping me clear my head and get those ideas flowing.
